We are home to Welsh Mountain and Shetland Ponies. The stud location is the ideal terrain for both these native ponies. The conditions on the fells can be changable but both Shetlands and Welsh Mountain ponies seem to adapt to the specific weather conditions very easily.

The stud is one of the highest inhabited farms in Britain, standing at just under 1900ft above sea level. The farm lies in the West Allen Valley on the Northern Pennines in the County of Northumberland although a few miles away are the Cumbrian and County Durham borders. Making the farm accessible from all counties.

We are home to Welsh Mountain Ponies and Shetland Ponies.

Our ponies are bred with quality, to have good temperaments, free flowing movement and some of the oldest breed lines.

The stud itself has various facilities. The courtyard is surrounded by stabling and also we have an equine solarium treatment room. The stallions have a separate stallion yard surrounded by stabling and we also have a foaling room where we are able to keep an eye on the expectant mum without disturbing her.
